here I go, Temple Grandin: an Asperger geniuos woman! I remember crying when I saw it for the first time. I had to get the movie :)

Why?
"More than quirky" why? well, I read an article on Newsweek magazine that was incredibly good about the diagnosis of an Asperger girl. The title of the aforementioned was "more than quirky" because that was the comment that this mother told the doctors when they miss diagnosed her saying " oh no she is just a quirky girl" I felt compelled to do something about it, finally. I've research a lot about girls with Asperger: their terrible love lives, the harsh times during school and even university; the struggle to understand what is wrong with me? why doctors can't see I can't do that everybody is asking me to?
The idea of this blog is to create a support group and also and informative webpage for people out there that:
a. doesn't know what Asperger is
b. knows what it is but doesn't realize girls can have Aspergers too
c. for us, as Asperger girls- to know that we are not alone and stop feeling like we were not born in the wrong planet. Get to know the experiences and stories; points of view of other girls like us
You can check my other blog where I write about my personal experiences and catastrophes in my personal and social life. I would like to start posting here more specific anecdotes about how my Asperger has affect- positively and negatively- my life; how has people reacted when they get to know about it. I would love you- my reader- to send me some of your experiences and state whether if you want them to be posted anonymous or not. I'd also like to post interesting articles about Asperger hat I've read on magazines or online journals.
